​

 

1. Log in to the MAE app or Maybank2u.

2. Select Pay & Transfer.

3. Select Transfer.

4. Under Transfer From, select your Malaysian bank account.

5. Under Transfer To, select Overseas.

6. Select United Kingdom as the destination country.

7. Select GBP – Pound Sterling as the currency.

8. Select Foreign Telegraphic Transfer (FTT).

9. Add a new beneficiary if required.

Maybank states that branch FTT is available and that branch transfers can also use its Guaranteed OUR option for eligible currencies including GBP.

Typical Experience

 

Maybank's online FTT process is relatively straightforward for customers who already use MAE or Maybank2u. The bank also provides the exchange rate and applicable charges before the transfer is completed.

For GBP transfers, Maybank offers a Guaranteed OUR (G'OUR) option that is designed to ensure the beneficiary receives the full amount sent, with applicable agent charges disclosed to the sender.

CIMB confirms that Foreign Telegraphic Transfer is available through its digital banking channels and requires beneficiary and bank details including the beneficiary's name, address, IBAN, bank name and address.

CIMB states that branch FTT transactions do not have the same online maximum limit, although supporting documents may be required depending on the transaction.

Typical Experience

 

CIMB offers both standard Foreign Telegraphic Transfer and other remittance options such as SpeedSend. For a normal bank-to-bank payment into a UK company account, FTT is the conventional option.

​

CIMB also states that its remittance services cover more than 200 countries and that GBP is supported.

4. Select Foreign Telegraphic Transfer (FTT).

5. Select your Malaysian account under From Account.

6. Select GBP – Pound Sterling.

Public Bank provides foreign remittance through its PBe online banking service as well as through branches.

Its current published online banking information lists Foreign Telegraphic Transfer within its third-party transfer limits, with a daily limit of RM50,000 for the relevant online transfer category.

• Processing and arrival time depends on the recipient and intermediary banks.

• Allow several business days for an international bank transfer.

• If the payment does not arrive when expected, keep your transaction reference and contact Public Bank.

RHB Bank Malaysia — How to Send via RHB Mobile Banking or RHB Online Banking

​

 

1. Log in to RHB Mobile Banking or RHB Online Banking.

2. Select Overseas Transfer.

3. Select the type of transfer:

   • Pay to Account / Foreign Telegraphic Transfer (FTT)

4. Select United Kingdom.

5. Select GBP – Pound Sterling.

6. Enter the transfer amount.

7. Enter I Cry Diamonds Limited details:

RHB's Overseas Transfer service allows customers to send funds directly to an overseas bank account through the SWIFT system.

The bank also provides the option to send to a bank account rather than using a cash-pickup service.

Hong Leong Bank Malaysia — How to Send Via Hong Leong Connect Online Banking

​

 

1. Log in to Hong Leong Connect Online Banking.

2. Click International Transfer.

3. Select Transfer under Telegraphic Transfer.

4. Enter the transfer details.

5. Enter your particulars where requested.

6. Enter I Cry Diamonds Limited details:

For larger amounts, customers can visit a Hong Leong Bank branch with:

Hong Leong states that customers should present the completed Remittance Application Form and identification/supporting documents where required, then verify and sign the transaction receipt.

 

Typical Experience

 

Hong Leong Connect provides a direct online Telegraphic Transfer process for customers who want to send money overseas.

The bank's published service standards also specifically list GBP among the currencies supported for outward foreign telegraphic transfers.

 

Transfer Time

​

• Processing depends on the bank's cut-off time.

• For GBP, Hong Leong currently lists a 4:00 p.m. cut-off for outward foreign telegraphic transfers.

• Transfers submitted before the applicable cut-off are processed the same day; those after the cut-off are processed the next business day.

• Overall TT turnaround can be approximately 1–5 banking days, depending on the beneficiary's location and payment route.

​

AmBank's Transfer Overseas service allows AmOnline customers with eligible MYR savings/ current accounts to send money to beneficiaries around the world.

 

The current online service has a minimum transfer amount of RM250 and a maximum of RM100,000 per day, subject to the customer's personal transaction limit.

 

AmBank states that agent charges are generally borne by the recipient, and the foreign bank may deduct additional charges from the amount received.
